Refund Policy

Effective date: September 5, 2026 · School of Freelancing (schooloffreelancing.com)

1. Introduction

This Refund Policy explains when a refund is and isn't available for School of Freelancing's Linux Freelancing Training. By enrolling and paying for training, you confirm that you've read and understood this policy, that the training content is relevant to leveling up your skills, and that you intend to complete the program and work toward your first freelancing income before your training deadline. If you don't agree with this policy, please don't enroll.

2. General Policy — All Sales Are Final

As our training is delivered as a digital, mentor-led service — including hands-on guidance from a mentor who pauses their own freelancing work to guide you — all sales are treated as final except in the limited circumstances described below. Making a purchase on our site means you accept this policy in full.

3. When a Refund Is Available (Training)

For our Linux Freelancing Training, we offer a refund in two specific situations:

Outside of these two cases, payments for training are non-refundable.

4. Refund Timing & Processing Fees

Approved refunds are initiated after 90 days, and a processing fee is deducted from the refunded amount.

5. Refund Conditions for Tech Support Clients

For clients who engage us for Linux tech support services (e.g. server setup, Telnyx/Twilio SMS API support, FusionPBX VoIP support, Hummingbot setup, and related support engagements), the same "all sales are final" principle applies, since tech support is a hands-on service performed at your request rather than a shippable good. We offer a refund in two specific situations, mirroring our training policy:

Once a support engagement has started — meaning our technician has begun diagnosing, configuring, or working on your server, system, or account — the service is considered rendered and the engagement is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome, since the time and expertise have already been delivered. If you're unsatisfied with the work performed, please contact us first so we can address the issue directly; we're happy to review the engagement and make it right where reasonably possible, though this is handled as a service remedy rather than a refund.

As with training, approved tech support refunds are initiated after 90 days and are subject to a processing fee deducted from the refunded amount.

6. Pausing Instead of Refunding (Training)

If you run into a scheduling conflict rather than needing a refund, our Training Rules allow you to pause training for up to two weeks. Longer absences may lead to temporary or permanent disqualification and a re-admission fee rather than a refund — see our Training Rules for the full details on absences and re-enrollment.

7. Disqualification Is Not a Refund Trigger

Refunds are not issued for trainees who are suspended or disqualified for violating our Training Rules — including extended unexcused absence, inappropriate conduct toward a mentor or client, unauthorized VPN or dual-boot use, or attempted phishing/hacking. These situations are governed by our Training Rules, not this Refund Policy.

8. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund under one of the eligible conditions above — for either training or tech support — contact us via our contact page with your order or enrollment details and the reason for your request. We'll review each request individually against the conditions in this policy.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time as our services evolve. Continued enrollment, purchase, or use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
